Most deffo a statement shade, I think that this is the most 'out there' lipstick I own (although, I have just purchased a dark blue Nyx lipstick, so we'll see how that pans out).
I believe these are Sleek's newest lipstick release, and as it goes, my first Sleek lipstick buy. I'm luvin it. They're supposedly meant to have a 'semi-matte' finish, which I kinda agree with as it's not completely matte, but not killing it with the shine either. But then I'm like,it's either matte or it's not, I'm not sure that a lipstick can be half matte. Thoughts?
Anyway, I was really surprised at how pigmented this baby is, one swipe and my lips were completely opaque with cover. I naturally put on about 100 more layers through habit, but it's really not needed. I think the best thing about it being 'semi-matte' is that it's got cray cray moisturising goodness, and not at all drying like mattes can be. It's got all the good stuff like shea butter and coconut oil, which I guess is why it's so creamy and easy to put on.
The downside to this is that it slid off with my food very easily when I ate, leaving quite an unsightly ring of lilac around bare lip - yeah, not a good look. Other than that, it lasted well for the few hours I had it on before I stuffed ma face.
