My sincere apologies for the creased backdrop, I promise I will iron it next time. I didn't realize how bad it was...
What you are looking are right here is my 11 day old septum piercing. Yep, still pretty fresh but it's been healing well.
Where did I get it pierced?
I got a hole punched through my septum at Tattoo 13 in Soho. Yeah I know, Soho... Tbh, the only reason I went there was because I was around the area, wanted it done, and according to good old Google Maps that was the closest piercing shop. I didn't even clock that the price was gonna be ridiculous until after I had it done and he said 'that will be just £50 please'. JUST!? Usually I pay £15-£20 for piercings. That'll teach me for not asking for the price first.
Did it hurt? Yes. Did it hurt more than my nose piercing? Probably. But tbf, I think I was pretty hardcore with my nose piercing, like I barely felt it. I know a lot f people find it quite painful. So I do think my septum hurt more than my nose, but it was more of a stingy pain than anything. It it makes your eyes water like craaazy.
I'd say the healing is going pretty well. The piercer said it would only take a couple of weeks to heal. I mean, I deffo don't think it's going to be fully healed by Saturday. but give it another 2/3 weeks and I think it will be pretty much there. It goes through the thin bit of skin rather than the cartilage, that's why it heals so quickly.
The first few days it stung if I knocked it, but now I can fiddle with it to my hearts content and it doesn't hurt. I've developed an awful habit where I fiddle with new piercings, I need to be stopped.
When it's fully healed I think I'm gonna do a post on all the pretty septum rings I'm planning on investing in!
What do you guys think of septum piercings? I know that they're not to everyone's taste, and I hated them a few years back, but obsessed now!
Btw, my lipstick is one of the Nyx Liquid Suede's in Soft Spoken!
