So, I'm gonna talk about two main products in these post - the Kat Von D Shade & Light palette in Rust and the Nyx Liquid Suede in Soft Spoken (both brands are cruelty free). Both have become staples since the day I got them. And when I say staple I mean I mean they've been slathered on my face every single day. Winners. Oh and btw, if you hadn't heard, Debenham's is now selling Kat Von D makeup on their site - yes, this is not a drill a repeat this is not a drill. Ik it's only online so you can't actually swatch anything but it's something right?
As I'm sure you already know, the Shade & Light palette is a contour kit so the shades don't exactly have names - more like 'base', 'highlight', 'contour', 'define'. Obvs you don't gotta use them as the names say as there ain't no rules here. I put the highlight into the inner corners of my eyes - I pack this on every morning and it brightens like crazy. Bonus it doesn't look cakey either. I then packed the contour (which is the rust shade) all over my lid and underneath my eye. Don't worry about it getting a bit messy, I think that's the fun with grunge makeup - it can get messy and it just adds to the look. I added the define shade into the crease and blended it out together with the contour. I also blended the contour shade out that I previously put on underneath my eyes.
And that's basically all I did. Job done. Simple. Takes literally 5 minutes, probably less. I think Soft Spoken goes perfectly with this look as it's like a dark 90's nude. Tbh, I'm really not feeling the dark berry lip this Autumn. I've been really into nudes this year and I'm not gonna stop now. I've completed ditched the red and I really can't see me getting into berry lips!!! Just loving the nudes too much.
