There's Only One Thing That Can Save Your Hair When You Have Completely Ruined It Like Me
Truth be told, my hair isn't too bad anymore, but trust me when I say I ruined it. Back in sixth form, my old hairdresser would say to me that my hair would never grow past the length it was at (my shoulders). This was a routine ordeal, I swear every time I went, that's the first thing I would hear. Brill. Ha, if only she could see me now, with my 'long' hair. It's the longest it has ever been in my whole entire life, so to me, it is long.
Around a year ago it got to that point where I was just sick of having poo-y hair, that was ridiculously dry and unmanageable, constantly breaking, and I won't go into more detail because I'm sure you all know what I'm saying. I began doing the usual hair repair shiz; no more heat, no more dying, no more washing everyday, hair masks, hair masks, hair masks (one of my first ever posts is all about this, read it here).
I can very happily say, that my hair is a fair amount longer now, compared too when I wrote that post. Here's why; I changed something. I incorporated the mother of all hair products into my routine, and that baby is coconut oil. I can't even tell you my love for this stuff, it has quite literally transformed my hair. Even though it's still dry cos that's just my hair ya'll, I don't think it has been this moisturized since I was in year 11 (that's 15/16 years old to all you non English folk), and it's edging on being as strong as Rapunzel's.
I smooth the coconut oil mainly over my ends, and some at the roots, the night before I plan too wash my hair, wrap it up in a towel, and grab my eight hours. I do this pretty much every time before I wash it, sometimes I get lazy, that's understandable. And that's my secret and it's amazing.
If your thinking about buying some coconut oil for yourself, I would recommend buying an organic, extra virgin/unrefined one that has been cold pressed. This way, your hair gets the most benefit out of it.
